A blog covering my experiences working as a director on S106 projects. And my work with the HPX300 and P+S Technik Mini35 combination. This is where I will post my day to day life, my experiences and other work related stuff. Erhm… I guess mostly work related stuff.

To my knowledge the noise is a sensor issue, it being quite small. Would be interesting to check if the new lens has less noise. As soon as I have the time I will do a noise comparison and ad this to the review.

Thanks for this review, I'm a littel disapointed about the original lens of this camera because of the noise in the image (in full HD mode with CAC), is this one less noisy?? What is you feeling about the 2?

Hi Stijn,

A lot can go wrong between the original recording and the broadcast, compression, bad downscaling to SD etc. I think downscaling is your best bet, did you shoot HD? Was is broadcast in SD?

Good luck.

Do you have any problems with focus on the standard lens for the Hpx300?
I shot with this camera for national television and when it aired, the image wasn't half as sharp as viewed in the viewfinder

Hi Balster:

Thanks for the evaluation, it is very helpful. I just wish that there was a nice wide angle lens available more in the $3k to $4k range but even $6k isn't that bad.
