My name is Balster van Duijn.
My first movie recording is dated 1991, I was eleven years old. A short film about a birthday party and the tension between parents. Since then I have never put away the camera and have been working as a television director since 2001. I have worked for most Dutch broadcasters; VPRO, NPS, VARA, BNN, Teleac, RTL4 etc. The last three years I am focusing more on documentary film, one of my recent projects is a thirteen episode documentary series on Dutch development aid in East Africa.
In this blog I will keep you (and myself) updated in the going ons of my working life. Feel free to wonder in from time to time and see what’s going on.
